Have you ever done a favour for a friend and received more thanks or credit than you really deserved? Does halacha require a person to correct the misunderstanding, or is there no obligation to say anything? The discussions immediately showed the boys that halacha is not confined to the Beis Medrash — it is deeply relevant to everyday life, friendships, honesty, gratitude, and business interactions. The sessions were lively, thoughtful, and engaging (Brackman's cupcake was certainly a highlight!).
The boys approached the scenarios with enthusiasm and maturity, seeing first hand how Torah values guide real-life situations in a practical and meaningful way. We are pleased to share the 35th edition of the Yavneh Newsletter, Parshas Emor. Dvar Torah from Rabbi Joseph and Year 7, Joshua G.
