18/7/2024

Yavneh Boys is always delighted to greet and share again with former students and we had the wonderful opportunity to hear from former Head Boy, Ari Cohen and hear of his experiences in Israel this last year at Yeshivat HaKotel. Afterwards the boys had a mini-address from 6th Form Rav, Rabbi Schwalbe and then enjoyed dancing and pizza to finish the year.

We wish everyone in the YBs community a settled and happy summer break.

Leil Shishi Finale

Following an exciting table tennis tournament, we celebrated our final Leil Shishi of the year. The evening featured inspiring short addresses from Mr. Leventhall and each of our Rabbanim - Rabbi Cohen, Rabbi Schwarz, Rabbi Rickman and Rabbi Simmonds - who left us with uplifting words of chizuk. We also took time to reflect on some of our achievements this year, focusing on the importance of making space for others and being prepared to receive in order to properly grow. It was a memorable conclusion to the year, filled with encouragement and reflection.

Birmingham and London with Y9 & 10

The Year 9 and 10 Yavneh Boys have just returned from an incredible trip they will remember for years to come.

They spent Shabbos in Birmingham, where the boys led the davening and leining, bringing ruach to the Singer's Hill community. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the legendary Rabbi and Rebbetzin Jacobs for hosting us, and to Rabbi Arkush for his inspiring words. In London, the boys had the privilege of meeting Rabbi Dovid Tugendhaft, Dayan Zobin, Rabbi Yoinosson Roodyn, and a number of alumni.

The trip was filled with unforgettable highlights, including go-karting, witnessing the Changing of the Guard, experiencing the London Eye, visiting Tower Bridge, and enjoying some lovely food throughout. The trip was expertly led by Rabbi Chaim Cohen and Mr. Leventhall, together with Chaim Greenhouse, ensuring a memorable and enriching experience for all.
