We prepared for Purim in Yavneh style - dressed in our Purim outfits, music and dancing, ice-cream and a guest speaker. Students were addressed by Rabbi Sholom Cohen of CTeen who spoke about how the whole story of Purim teaches us that our day to day existence is miraculous, how deeply connected we are to Hashem, and how to apply that practically in our daily lives.
The collaboration between our Leil Shishi program and Kollel L'Dayonus was b'H a huge success. Mr J. Rowe opened the evening with an insightful talk on business responsibility, sparking engaging discussions.
Group sessions, led by the Kollel Yungerleit and our Rebbes, deepened the boys' understanding of Choshen Mishpot particularly with regards to the laws of damaging other people property and the varying levels of responsibility of the Daled Shomrim. A big thank you to the Governors and Parents who joined us! Celebrating Bar Mitzvot is a central experience for many of our Yaneh Boys. Mazal Tov to Jacob who Leyn'd today in school and shared his Bar Mitzvah with everyone.
Rav Ilan Goldman, Director of Aliyah at Israela and former Rav Shaliach of Bnei Akiva in London addressed Yavneh Boys about the beauty of Eretz Yisrael and the importance of living there.
