This week’s Leil Shishi was a berry fruitful one! Really un-peel-ievable!
Rabbi Wulwick (He’s one in a melon!) introduced the pear-fect event by demonstrating how much honour was given to the farmer in the times of the Mishkan and Beis Hamikdash. The Bikkurim procession was even fancier than our Hachnasas Sefer Torah. We then enjoyed separating Terumos and Maaser from our Israeli avocadoes and dates and learned how to check dates for infestation. It took us a while, but we managed to fig-ure it out. We then went outside where Rav Elad Eshel taught us about the Mitzva of Kilayim. (He’s quite the sage!) We planted various herbs – after making the appropriate Berachos on smelling them. We are very grape-ful to all the teachers and truly ap-peach-iate it. Thanks a bunch
